Has Ozone Therapy Been Missed?

Ozone generators that ozonate the air have been banned in California. However, ozonators that add ozone into water and oils have not. The reason for this is that the ozone that goes into water and oils has demonstrated therapeutic value.

You can ozonate water and oils with a certain types of ozone generator – often referred to as an ozonator.

The problem with putting ozone into the air is that it has been shown to be damaging to lung tissue. You really do not want to breath in ozone if it can be avoided.

In fact, when ozone therapy is administered in a ‘body suit’ style, care is taken to make sure that the patient does not actually breath the ozone into their nostrils and lungs.

Ozone has been used therapeutically for a long time. It is probably more widely used in Europe than in the United States. However, medical grade ozone can be found in the United States too.

Some veterinarians utilize ozone to infuse (mix ozone with blood) as a treatment for killing very deadly protozoans that infect horses – particularly in Florida.

There appear to be many uses for ozone made from ozone generators. I once spoke with a nurse who told me that she wanted to use ozonated water to treat her husbands Gangrene. She said she was trying to save his leg as the hospital had given up.

Using some type of clay therapy, she had made much progress. However, she felt the ozonated water is what she really needed. Ozone is known to fight both bacteria and viruses.

It does seem strange that modern medicine in the United States is not exploring all the possible uses for ozone and using it clinically. Again, the only real proven danger is in breathing ozone into one’s lungs. Otherwise, ozone appears to provide many other therapeutic benefits for the human body.

In regards to ozone, which can be made at home with an ozonator: More studies are needed – if you are a study oriented person. However, ozone has a long history as a therapeutic agent.

Cost of Metal Roof Panels for Commercial or Kit Homes Residential Use

Commercial buildings such as warehouses and barns were traditionally known to have metal roof panels. The only metal roofs seen on residential buildings were small unkempt structures that had decayed through the year until it seemed as though the roof was the only part of the house that was still intact.  Today, there is a rise in kit homes metal siding and roofing due to the increase in different types of finishes with metal siding and roofing products that allows the same wood-like or stucco-like appearances yet retain the durability, strength and cost of metal roof panels.

Benefits

The cost of metal roof panels is not the only benefit but is probably one of the initial draws for consumers who are considering what materials to use to redo or construct a roof on any type of structure. The cost of metal roof panels can run as low as three dollars and fifty cents per square foot, which is only three hundred fifty dollars for each one hundred square foot panel.  Aluminum is the least expensive of metal roofing materials and is the one most commonly used.  Residential roofing as well as some offices will branch out into copper roofing panels which are the most expensive costing metal roofing panels.

The cost of metal roofing panels, even using the more expensive ones, is offset by the savings gained through the longevity and low maintenance costs of metal roofs.Metal roofs usually last about forty years, so much so that many metal roofing companies will five warrantees on their roofs for twenty to forty years, depending on the company.  The maintenance cost on metal roofs is also low at about thirty cents per square foot per year, which is much lower than other types of roofing that requires more maintenance.

There are some metal roofing panels that are called 'cool metal' panels because they do not absorb the heat of the sunlight like other metals do.  These cool metal panels have a heat deflecting metal coating on them so that the heat bounces off and keeps the inside of the structure cooler, thus saving on air conditioning costs. This is a great asset for warmer climates and the savings in air conditioning costs soon offsets cost of the specialized metal roof panels needed for the job. There are also insulated panels which have a foam insulation that has been hardened in between the two metal panels leaving no air gaps and so ensuring that the insulation is uniform wherever the panels are found. These also cost more at the outset but save the consumer money in the long run.

A Long Lasting Choice for your kit home: Vinyl Deck Flooring

Vinyl has become a more popular material in many different projects, from siding to fencing and even decking materials. The reason for this is that vinyl is long lasting and the price of the vinyl has been coming down to match the composite materials on the market today.Although the pricing has dropped, it is still about thirty percent higher than wood materials, however, it is much longer lasting and requires much less maintenance than wood, so it ends up being a better choice in the long run.The vinyl deck flooring can come in a variety of different colors and styles to match the design requirements that the consumer desires. The vinyl deck posts are also beneficial to use because they are sturdy and long lasting, not prone to warping or rot like wood posts are bound to do over time, even with proper care.

Decking

There are many different styles of decking in which vinyl deck flooring can be used. There are some decks that are designed to go around a pool area and others that need to be able to hold a hot tub on them.In either case, using vinyl deck flooring is a great choice because of durability and safety reasons.Since the vinyl deck flooring interlocks with the other panels, there are not nails and screws sticking up out of the floor. This makes it a much safer choice than wood when there are people running around on it in bare feet. There is also the fact that the vinyl deck flooring remains cool in the sunlight due to the reflective properties of the vinyl. This is also good for people who are running around the pool area in bare feet.  The vinyl is textured so that it is not as slippery as well, making it a long lasting and safe choice for either of these situations.

The vinyl deck flooring also comes with a long warrantee, often a lifetime warrantee, so that it can be replaced for free if there are any problems with it.  It can fit the function of almost any porch or deck design for your kit homes so that the deck can last over a lifetime with very little maintenance. The deck flooring made of vinyl can be easily cleaned off when needed, and will not warp or rot over time. Its planks are uniform so that they fit together with perfection, rather than leaving the gaps that are sometimes there with wood flooring.

Why Give Up? Turn to Alternative Medicine

I just read the story of a young man in England who is dying of leukemia. He has been through chemotherapy and radiation therapy twice. He has also been through a bone marrow transplant. Yet, I do not think he has tried alternatives, such as an water ozone generator.

He has suffered through the side effects of the new bone marrow attacking his body. He as been on drugs and steroids. His cancer returned despite all of the treatment. He lost his love, his home and his work and had to move in with those who raised him. He is dying. He really believes that he will die.

I want to be very respectful and gentle because dying is a serious topic. However, what if there were alternatives that could help? I cannot speak for you, but it seems to me that if modern mainstream medicine failed me, I would turn to alternative medicine.

How about Essiac and the long standing work of Renee Caisse? What about the work of a German biochemist named Johanna Budwig? What of the book: How to Fight Cancer and Win? How about the famous cancer surgeon Bernie Siegal and the way that he found? What about an in home water ozone generator? There have been able to defeat their cancer.

I don’t mean to make light of a situation as serious as cancer or leukemia. Yet, is it really a good idea to simply accept what doctors say without exploring answers that are outside of their particular discipline?

There are many success stories of people who were able to defeat their cancer or have been in remission so long that you might as well say that they won the battle. Here are some more things to explore: What about juicing wheat grass and vegetables?

Cancer is a tough disease, do not leave anything to chance. What I wrote here was for information and entertainment only. This article does not intend to provide advice, diagnosis or treatment suggestions for cancer. If you have or think you have any type of health condition at all, visit your doctor for advice, diagnosis and treatment. The USFDA certainly hasn’t evaluated any of the thoughts in this article, nor are they likely to if they continue to follow the trend of their history.

What about macrobiotic diets and home ozone. What about….? The list is larger.

Natural methods are ignored and are not often explored. No on is paying for such research. When all else fails, what do you have to lose by trying?

oral chemotherapy

chemotherapy patients

Oral chemotherapy refers to the drugs administered orally as part of an extended or comprehensive drug treatment. Chemotherapy is medicine used in treating cancer and the ways to apply it are multiple. Nowadays, due to progress in cancer treatments and research, patients benefit from many different types of chemotherapy that can be taken in as tablet, liquid or capsule. Thus oral chemotherapy refers to any drug administered by mouth. The health impact of pills remains identical to that of intravenous medication for instance, with the specification that they are more likely to trigger adverse reactions because of the impact on the digestive tract.

Some chemotherapy drugs can never be taken orally as they cannot be absorbed in the stomach or they can cause harm if swollen. So as to avoid side effects, many anti-cancer drugs are administered intravenously through a line. In the case of oral chemotherapy, the treatment has the advantage that the patient can follow it at home.

A good way to organize oral chemotherapy is in cycles of administration. Thus, risk of damaging normal healthy cells gets lower and the drugs only target the cancerous formations. Obviously, the doctor is the one who will decide how frequently (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) medication will be taken. Anyway, the anti-cancer treatment scheme proposed by the specialist ought to be discussed with the patient so that she/he may know what lies ahead in terms of challenges, difficulties and success rate. Only when one informed and convinced of the efficiency of the treatment, can one decide to begin it.

Even if oral chemotherapy drugs are not as strong as the others and although they do not affect the patients’ stomach, there are side effects of the treatment here too. Tiredness for a few days after beginning the treatment, nausea and vomiting, possible change in the amount of blood cells – anemia, lower capability of the blood to clot, diarrhea or constipation, flu-like symptoms, hair loss, increased risk of infection, kidney or bladder problems, mouth, gum and throat sores, pains, and nerve and muscle problems, are some of the long list of side effects of oral chemotherapy, just the same as those of any other form of chemotherapy treatments. For any of these side effects it is advisable that patients address their doctors for advice and help.

side effects of chemotherapy

melanoma chemotherapy

The disease of the 20th century as it is often called, cancer has not been given a viable solution or treatment not even now in the 21st century. Highly powerful medication remains the main way to deal with the disease which is why chemotherapy patients have to be informed on the necessity and the specificity of the cancer treatments.

Whether surgery is used or not, cancer chemotherapy represents the most trodden path in the approach to cancer. Chemotherapy patients usually have to deal with overwhelming physical and psychological stress. To begin with, there are the physical aspects that will break down their morale. The side effects that one will experience may eat away at one’s self-esteem, since they may include alopecia, constant nausea and dizziness, pains and infections of all sorts depending on the part of the body that is affected or on the type of medication that has been prescribed to follow. Some chemotherapy patients feel that they are somewhat physically impaired since they can no longer perform certain activities that have previously defined their life or that have brought smiles on their faces.

Another level of impact on chemotherapy patients is the psychological obstacle. Chemotherapy patients need all the support they can get from their beloved in order to go through the tough experience of the treatment, but many suffers choose to face difficulties alone. Feeling alone and depressed could significantly alter the evolution of the disease. Not being able to talk about it as you would, not being able to share will make you feel marginalized, separated from the people in your life and will break your morale.

On the other hand, there are other chemotherapy patients that do share their sufferance with their family, but in time, they see themselves as burdens and feel responsible for the trouble they cause, thus adding a sense of guilt to their already precarious psychological balance. They themselves may end up feeling that they have turned into a burden to their family putting strain on relationships and may choose to seclude themselves as a result of this feeling.

All these considered, it is highly understandable that family and friends of chemotherapy patients should be informed about what their beloved ones are going through and about how help can be provided in such situations. The moral strength of chemotherapy patients can be kept above surface level or increased only by psychologists and people who honestly display affection and interest in helping.

chemotherapy protocol

adjuvant chemotherapy

Chemotherapy protocol is a concept familiar to cancer patients, but it remains totally unknown to people who do not have any direct or indirect contact with the disease. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, it is a list of procedures and characteristics that describe the aim, the means, the potential risks and complications and the expected positive results of the medication that is included in the chemotherapy treatment offered by the doctor. This protocol represents a form of plan or treatment scheme to be followed.

To get down to more details, the chemotherapy protocol involves all the case circumstances, from the pathology of the disease to the location of the tumor and its stage of evolution. The protocol ought to further specify indications and contraindications, it should pinpoint all the situations in which this specific chemotherapy protocol should be allowed or forbidden and it ought to refer to specialized literature for whatever sort of clarifications may be needed throughout the treatment.

Another important aspect of the chemotherapy protocol is to include information and clear description of the drugs that the patient will take. Drug information will have to refer here to the dosage which is usually established depending on the patient’s body weight, surface, the appropriate concentration to be found in the blood, and so on. Other details in the chemotherapy protocol include info on cyclical administration and the time interval between doses. Moreover, the chemotherapy protocol should specify the administration method, that is, the route of administration, as doctors call it (oral, intravenous, abdominal, etc). Under certain circumstances adjuvant treatment may be necessary which represents another piece of information that has to be specified in the chemotherapy protocol together with possible precautions and measures.

Last but not least, the chemotherapy protocol should talk about the cycles of the treatment. Such details cover the intervals that separate different cures as well as the concentration variation in the medication. It should also stipulate the recommended number of cycles, the toxicity that the drugs may lead to, the level of recovery reached before beginning a new cycle, the conditions that may require partial or complete cessation of treatment, the modifications and the ways for the patient to adapt to dose increase or decrease.

chemotherapy side effects

types of chemotherapy

One of the most frequent side effect of cancer treatments is chemotherapy hair loss. Why does one lose hair during chemotherapy? The medication used in chemotherapy is extremely powerful and it destroys all the developing cancer cells, although they affect other body parts too. These medicines also attack other cells in the body that have a rapid growth; the cells in the digestive tract and the hair follicles are the main examples here. The effects of chemotherapy on hair are manifest for all the body parts covered by hair. Thus, patients will experience the loss of eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic and armpit hair.

The variety of the drugs used in chemotherapy is incredibly high with hundreds of medicines available. Some of these will trigger chemotherapy hair loss more quickly than others, but some may not even cause such a side effect. The concentration of the drugs is another aspect to consider when hair loss is under discussion, as hair loss ranges from thinning to complete baldness. Thus, make sure to discuss all such details with your doctor, in order to be prepared to cope with hair loss psychologically.

In most cases you’ll start losing hair within ten or fourteen days after you start chemotherapy. It may fall out quite fast, either in clumps or gradually. Hair loss usually continues throughout the treatment and even one month after it. Half of the hair can fall out before this is noticed by people around. Luckily, in most cases, chemotherapy hair loss represents a temporary effect. Hair can be expected to grow again within six months to one year from the end of the procedure. The new hair could have a slightly different shade of color, with the mention that even the texture could be altered too.

It usually takes about four to six weeks for the hair to recover from chemotherapy, and generally, the hair grows at a rate of about a quarter inch each month. When the hair starts growing back again, it might be a little different from the hair that was lost because of therapy. The color and texture alteration will be a first recovery sign and the hair will become what it used to be before the treatment the moment the cells that control the hair pigment begin working again. Unfortunately, one cannot prevent chemotherapy hair loss as none of the treatments available is completely free of such side effects.
